Tickets for Kendal Mountain Festival, the premier event for outdoor enthusiasts in the UK, are now on sale. With world renowned climber Leo Houlding, environmental activist George Monbiot and global explorer and social justice leader Silvia Vasquez-Lavado amongst the first speakers announced.

Whether you're into clawing your way up mountains, sliding down them, jumping off the top - or just watching others do it - this gathering of adventure sports fans is a must. Kendal Mountain Festival has been in action since the 1980s and these days up to 20,000 people head for the Lake District town each November to catch up on all things mountain and outdoor related.

The event is truly international with filmmakers, adventurers and lecturers gathering from around the world. Films are at the core of the event, with numerous world, European and UK premieres, plus a family and schools programme to get the kids inspired. There's a huge programme of on-stage sessions and events with up to 200 speakers, and of course the event is renowned as THE main social event for UK outdoor enthusiasts where you can rub shoulders with your heroes, with the hugely popular Basecamp forming a focus for festival-goers.

Tickets for our legendary themed sessions, speaker events, plus community walks, runs, ride-outs and parties are now available to book online. World renowned climber Leo Houlding, environmental activist George Monbiot and global explorer and social justice leader Silvia Vasquez-Lavado are amongst the speakers currently announced.

If you're unable to be in Kendal this November, want to catch events and films you might miss, or just prefer tuning in from the comfort from your own home, then you can join in online via the Kendal Mountain Player; this year's Online Festival Pass has an earlybird 20% discount using code SOEXCITED22.

Most events are filmed and uploaded to view online within 24 hours, plus a wide selection of films will be available from the start of the Festival until 31 December.

Kendal Mountain Festival dates are 17-20 November and tickets are available at www.kendalmountainfestival.com
