'Rock-Star' Climber Hazel Findlay Tours The Walls Within Stage Talk

One of the world's finest climbers in second UK theater talk tour

Hazel Findlay is, quite simply, one of the world's best climbers. Six-time British Junior Champion, Hazel left competitive climbing, at the age of just 16, to focus on rock climbing. Hazel went on to become the first British woman to climb one of the hardest grades in climbing, as well as free-climb Yosemite's El Capitan four times.

In a follow up to her 2019 theater tour, The Climb Within, Hazel is now set to undertake her second theater tour, The Walls Within, heading to 12 theaters across the country this September, presented by Speakers from the Edge.

Fascinated by the mental challenges of climbing, every bit as much as the physical challenges, Hazel often focuses on the psychology of what drives her through the internal battles she's faced in her career and how she's overcome them; fear of failure, imposter syndrome, distraction and motivation. In The Walls Within, Hazel delves into these universal commonalities we all face in our lives, using stories from her most difficult ascents and wild expeditions, such as her recent climbing adventures in Greenland with, arguably the most famous climber on the planet, Alex Honnold , to talk about the psychological 'walls within'
