Wasn't there something called an 'Amigo' back in the day? I think Ron Fawcett used one on the FA.

Tom is referring to the lowest runner, not the one in the in the shothole, which is next to the climber's right foot. The Amigo Ron used was placed in the shothole. Great shot Jethro...

I was lucky with the light, it was lit with some pretty bright contrasty blue sky light 5 mins before James started climbing which I was hoping would stay, the clouds rolled in just before he started climbing but fortunately there was a break and the sun half popped out from the clouds providing a minutes soft diffuse light that gives a nice Autumnal feel.
